1. Overview

Laabam.Shop facilitates returns and refunds between buyers and independent third-party sellers in compliance with the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Since products are sold by independent sellers, return and refund policies may vary by seller and product category. Always check the product page for seller-specific return terms before purchasing.

2. Return Window

Return windows vary by product category. The return period begins from the date of delivery:

3. Conditions for Return

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • ✓ Product must be unused, unworn, and in its original packaging.
  • ✓ All tags, labels, accessories, and freebies must be intact.
  • ✓ Product must not be damaged due to misuse by the buyer.
  • ✓ Proof of purchase (order ID or invoice) is required.
  • ✓ Return request must be raised within the applicable return window.

Products that fail the quality check during return inspection may be sent back to you. Ensure items are in original condition before initiating a return.

4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • ✕ Customised or personalised products.
  • ✕ Intimate apparel, swimwear, and innerwear (hygiene reasons).
  • ✕ Opened beauty, skincare, and health products.
  • ✕ Downloaded or activated digital products.
  • ✕ Gift cards, vouchers, and prepaid recharges.
  • ✕ Jewellery items with broken seals.
  • ✕ Perishable food and grocery items.
  • ✕ Products marked as "non-returnable" on the listing page.

5. How to Initiate a Return

Follow these simple steps to return a product:

Log In

Sign in to your Laabam.Shop account.

Go to My Orders

Navigate to My Orders and select the order you want to return.

Select Return/Replace

Click the Return/Replace button and choose a reason for the return.

Upload Photos

If the product is damaged or defective, upload clear photos as evidence.

Schedule Pickup

Choose a convenient pickup date and time slot, or select a drop-off location.

Pack the Product

Repack the item securely in its original packaging with all accessories.

You'll receive a confirmation email once your return request is approved. Track the return status from your My Orders page.

6. Refund Timelines

Refunds are initiated within 48 hours of the returned product being inspected and approved. The timeline for the refund to reflect in your account depends on the payment method:

For COD orders, you'll need to provide your bank account details for the refund transfer.

7. Cancellations

Before Shipping

Orders can be cancelled at no cost before the seller ships the product. Full refund will be processed immediately to your original payment method.

After Shipping

Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You will need to wait for delivery and then initiate a return as per the return policy.

Partial Cancellations

For multi-item orders, individual items can be cancelled separately before they are shipped. The refund will be proportional to the cancelled item(s).

8. Damaged or Defective Products

If you receive a damaged, defective, or wrong product, you are entitled to a full refund or free replacementregardless of the product category's return policy.

What to do:

  • 1. Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery.
  • 2. Take clear photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping label.
  • 3. Raise a return request with reason "Damaged/Defective".
  • 4. We'll arrange a free pickup and process refund/replacement within 48 hours of pickup.

9. Replacements & Exchanges

Replacements are available for eligible products subject to stock availability:

  • ✓ Free replacement for damaged, defective, or wrong products.
  • ✓ Size/colour exchange available for fashion items (within return window).
  • ✓ Replacement dispatched after return pickup is completed.
  • â–ŗ If the replacement is unavailable, a full refund will be issued.
  • â–ŗ Each order is eligible for one replacement only.

10. Seller Disputes

If a seller rejects your return request and you believe the rejection is unfair:

Go to the return request and click "Escalate to Laabam.Shop" for mediation.

Provide Evidence

Upload photos, videos, or any supporting documentation for your claim.

Mediation

Our team will review the case and communicate with both parties.

Resolution

A final decision will be made within 7 business days. Our decision is binding on the seller.

You may also file a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000) or on the INGRAM portal (consumerhelpline.gov.in).

As a consumer in India, you are protected by the following legislation:
